Certain contributions, such as new establishments, proposed edits, and photographs, may require moderation before publication. Other Content may be reviewed or removed following publication.

Submitting Content does not guarantee that it will be approved, published, or remain available.

4. Zero-Tolerance Policy for Objectionable Content and Abusive Users

NomadSpot has ZERO TOLERANCE for objectionable content, harassment, bullying, discrimination, threats, and abusive users.

To maintain a safe and trustworthy community, NomadSpot may review, approve, reject, restrict, or remove User-Generated Content.

We reserve the right to take appropriate action when Content:

  • Violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

We may use manual review, technical safeguards, and community reports to identify potential violations.

Moderation decisions are made to protect the community, and we may act without providing advance notice where necessary, subject to applicable law.

If you believe a moderation decision was made incorrectly, you may contact us at guilherme.peixoto@nomad-spot.com to request a review.

6. Reporting Objectionable Content and Abusive Users

We encourage community members to report Content or behaviour that violates these Terms.

NomadSpot provides reporting mechanisms within supported versions of the application.

You may:

  • Report a review: Use the available report option on a review to flag inappropriate, offensive, misleading, or otherwise objectionable Content.
  • Report a user: Use the reporting option on a community member’s profile or the available actions on their review.
  • Report other concerns: Contact us directly by email if you encounter objectionable Content or behaviour that cannot be reported through an in-app option.

Reports may include a reason for the report and are submitted for moderation.

We aim to review reports promptly and take appropriate action based on the circumstances and severity of the issue.

Submitting a report does not automatically result in Content removal or account suspension. Each report may be evaluated to determine whether a violation has occurred.

We do not disclose a reporter’s identity to the reported user through the reporting feature. Information may nevertheless be disclosed where required by applicable law.

For additional assistance, contact:

guilherme.peixoto@nomad-spot.com

7. Blocking Abusive Users

NomadSpot allows authenticated users to block other community members through supported features.

You may block a user from their community profile or through the available actions associated with their reviews.

When you block someone:

  • Their community profile and reviews will no longer be visible to you through the supported profile and review interfaces.
  • You will not be required to interact with their profile or reviews.
  • The blocked user will not receive a direct notification from NomadSpot informing them that you blocked them.
  • You may manage and unblock users through the Blocked Users section.

Blocking a user is a personal safety and content-visibility feature. It does not necessarily remove their Content for other users or suspend their account from the Service.

If someone is engaging in abusive behaviour or sharing objectionable Content, we encourage you to report them in addition to blocking them.

NomadSpot may independently restrict or terminate abusive users’ access to the Service following moderation.

8. Reviews, Ratings, and Establishment Information

Reviews, ratings, photographs, and establishment details are intended to help members of the community make informed decisions about where to work.

Users must submit honest, relevant, and respectful contributions.

You must not:

  • Publish reviews about experiences that did not occur.
  • Manipulate ratings for financial or personal benefit.
  • Submit reviews intended primarily to harass or threaten others.
  • Upload intentionally misleading photographs.
  • Falsify opening hours, amenities, accessibility information, or laptop policies.

Information displayed within NomadSpot may originate from community submissions, third-party information sources, or other available data.

Although we may review and update information, we cannot guarantee that every establishment’s information is complete, accurate, or up to date.

Opening hours, availability, Wi-Fi, power outlets, laptop policies, prices, and other conditions may change without notice.

Users should confirm important details directly with establishments when necessary.

NomadSpot does not own or operate the establishments listed in the Service unless explicitly stated otherwise.

9. Ownership and Rights to User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of the original Content you submit to NomadSpot, subject to any rights held by third parties.

By submitting Content, you grant NomadSpot a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, format, and adapt that Content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, improve, and promote the Service.

This licence allows us, for example, to:

  • Display reviews and photographs to other users.
  • Show establishments and community contributions within the app.
  • Format Content for different devices and layouts.
  • Moderate or remove Content when necessary.
  • Feature eligible community contributions in materials promoting NomadSpot.

You confirm that you have the rights necessary to grant this licence.

We will handle deletion and retention of personal data and associated Content in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

We do not claim ownership of your original photographs, reviews, or other eligible contributions.

10. Privacy and Personal Data

Your privacy is important to us.

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when it may be shared, how long it is retained, and how you can exercise your privacy rights.

Depending on the features you use, information may include account details, profile information, submitted Content, device information, analytics, and location data where you grant the required permissions.

Your location is used to help you discover nearby work-friendly places when location access is enabled.

You can manage applicable device permissions through your device settings.

Please review our Privacy Policy for more information:

11. Account Deletion and Termination

Where account registration is available, you may request account deletion through the account settings or by contacting us.

You may also stop using the Service at any time.

When you delete your account, NomadSpot will delete your account information, profile photograph, reviews, saved collections, and other associated personal data, except where retention is legally required. Approved establishment information and photographs may remain available as part of the shared directory, with personal account attribution removed, subject to applicable privacy and account-deletion requirements.

Account deletion may be irreversible.

NomadSpot may suspend or terminate access when a user violates these Terms, engages in abusive behaviour, or creates a significant risk to the community or Service.

Where appropriate, we may take action immediately to prevent further harm.

You may contact us to request clarification or review of an account restriction.

12. Intellectual Property and Acceptable Use

The NomadSpot name, branding, software, design elements, interfaces, and other materials created or owned by us are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly permitted, you may not:

  • Copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit our software or proprietary materials without authorisation.
  • Reverse engineer, modify, or interfere with the application except where permitted by law.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, or infrastructure.
  • Use automated methods to scrape, overload, or disrupt the Service without authorisation.
  • Introduce malware, malicious code, or other harmful technologies.

You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms and applicable platform rules.

13. Community Recognition and Contributions

NomadSpot may display community information such as contribution counts, points, levels, badges, or other recognition features.

These features are intended to encourage collaboration and recognise helpful contributions.

Unless we expressly state otherwise:

  • Points, levels, and badges have no monetary value.
  • They cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to other users.
  • Community recognition does not establish employment, partnership, or ownership rights.
  • We may update or adjust contribution calculations and recognition features to maintain fairness and prevent abuse.

Fraudulent contributions or attempts to manipulate community recognition may result in the removal of associated points, badges, or other benefits, as well as moderation action.

14. Third-Party Services

NomadSpot may integrate with external platforms and services, including:

  • Apple Maps and Google Maps for directions or location-related functionality.
  • Apple and Google authentication services.
  • Third-party infrastructure, analytics, and other technical service providers.

Your use of third-party services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

NomadSpot does not control the availability, accuracy, or operation of independent third-party services.

15. Service Availability and Disclaimer

We work to provide a reliable, useful, and welcoming experience. However, the Service may occasionally experience interruptions, maintenance, errors, or changes.

The Service and community-contributed information are provided on an “as available” basis.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or the accuracy of all third-party or user-submitted information.

We are not responsible for an establishment’s independent decisions, including changes to opening hours, laptop access, pricing, Wi-Fi availability, or customer policies.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, remedies, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, NomadSpot is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from:

  • Reliance on inaccurate or outdated establishment information.
  • Conduct or Content submitted by third-party users.
  • Interruptions or unavailability of third-party services.
  • Technical disruptions outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability or consumer protections that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our features, community standards, legal obligations, or operating practices.

When changes are made, we will update the Effective Date.

For material changes, we will provide additional notice or request renewed acceptance where required by applicable law.

Continued use of the Service after revised Terms become effective may constitute acceptance where legally permitted.

If you do not agree with updated Terms, you should stop using the Service.

18. Apple App Store Terms

For iOS and iPadOS users, the NomadSpot application is also subject to applicable Apple App Store terms and the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless a valid custom licence agreement applies.

These Terms govern the use of NomadSpot’s Service and community features and supplement the applicable application licence.

You can review Apple’s Standard EULA at:

https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

Nothing in these Terms overrides applicable Apple platform requirements.
